Equity
Guidance on buying and selling shares, portfolio reviews and market insight — to invest wisely, manage risk and build wealth over time.
Overview
Own a share of India’s growth.
Equity investment means buying shares of companies listed on the stock market. When you buy shares, you become a part-owner of that company.
We help our clients understand stock market opportunities, choose investments based on their financial goals and risk appetite, and make informed investment decisions.
Equity has historically been one of the strongest drivers of long-term wealth — but it is also the most volatile. Prices can swing sharply in the short term, which is why time horizon, diversification and discipline matter as much as stock selection.
What owning a share gives you
Part-ownership
A share makes you a part-owner of a listed company and its future.
Potential growth
The share price can rise as the business grows — and fall when it doesn’t.
Possible dividends
Some companies share profits with shareholders as dividends.
A voice
Shareholders can vote on certain company decisions.

Our Principles
Four habits of successful equity investors.
01
Think long term
Equity rewards patience. Money you may need within a few years is usually better placed elsewhere.
02
Diversify
Spread investments across companies and sectors so no single stock can derail your plan.
03
Know what you own
Understand the business, its earnings and its valuation — not just the share price.
04
Stay disciplined
Avoid decisions driven by headlines, tips or fear. Review on a schedule, not on emotion.
FAQ
Questions investors often ask.
Can’t find your answer here? Our team will walk you through it.
01How much do I need to start investing in shares?
There is no fixed minimum — you can buy as little as one share. What matters more is investing an amount you won’t need in the short term.
02What do I need to open?
A demat account to hold shares and a trading account to buy and sell them, linked to your bank account, after completing KYC. We help you through the process with our broking partner.
03Should I invest directly in shares or through mutual funds?
Direct equity gives you control but needs time and research. Equity mutual funds offer professional management and instant diversification. Many investors use both — we help you decide the right mix.
04How are gains on shares taxed?
Tax depends on how long you hold the shares — short-term and long-term gains are taxed differently, and dividends are taxed in your hands. Please consult your tax advisor for current rates.
Equity investments are subject to market risks, and returns are not guaranteed.
